We believe that every child deserves a bright future.
Inspired by our own children’s unique strengths and challenges, we started Fox & Biscardi, LLC, to help parents find meaningful programs and opportunities for their children. We understand how overwhelming the educational process can be when you have a child with special needs. We strive to simplify the process and help families navigate on behalf of their children.
Alissa Heenan Fox is one of the founding attorneys and partners at Fox & Biscardi, LLC.
Before shifting her focus to special education advocacy and litigation, Alissa worked for several years in medical malpractice on behalf of injured plaintiffs. She handled discovery, research, briefing, depositions, and trial preparation.
Alissa graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in Psychology and from Temple Law School. During law school, she clerked for a judge in The Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Alissa has always been passionate about children and education. She, along with her sister, Stacy Heenan Biscardi, created a Mock Trial Program for elementary school students. Alissa piloted the program in a local public school and she will launch it in local private schools this spring. It gives Alissa and Stacy great pride to give back to the community and offer children their first glimpse at the legal system and ways to resolve conflict.
Alissa now practices special education advocacy and litigation, making sure each of her clients thrive and reach his or her potential.
Alissa is married with three sons. She has personally navigated through both public and private schools. She believes that there is a right school for every child; it’s just a matter of finding it.
Stacy Heenan Biscardi is one of the founding attorneys and partners at Fox & Biscardi, LLC. A former NBC and CBS producer and published writer, Stacy worked as a commercial litigator at The Hoyle Law Firm. Prior to that, she served as a summer associate at Kline & Specter, representing catastrophically injured children and adults.
Stacy graduated from The University of Michigan and Temple Law School. While in college, she volunteered at a preschool for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and she has served as a mentor with Philadelphia Futures for more than 15 years.
Stacy has published numerous articles and is active in organizations which support parents and special needs, at-risk, and gifted children. She does not simply practice special needs advocacy; she is committed to a lifestyle of advocacy. Stacy is married with two sons, one of whom has special needs. It was he who inspired Stacy to take up this practice.
Together, Alissa Fox and Stacy Biscardi bring a unique mix of advocacy special education, and law to their work and are passionate about helping parents to advocate for their children
